(Ed.s Note: Drivers trying to get on Sixth Street after crossing under the 77-83 overpass couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the small white sports car going the wrong way on the one way even though the Do Not Enter signs is clearly visible as the driver passed it (top). The only way the driver could have gotten on the one-way street is if he came out of the street by the resaca of Dean porter park and crossed the street despite the signage. The row of cars coming toward him had to stop until he backed up and turned around to go the right way. Even then, he peeled off at a high rate of speed and made his exit after that embarrassing escapade.)
