OUR MAN IN D.C.: TREVINO PRESENT AT KELLY'S HSD HEARINGS

(Ed.'s Note: Ok, we admit it. We're C-Span geeks who don;t get bored of watching all the dry programs dealing with the inner workings of the federal bureaucracy. This morning we were looking at the confirmation hearings of Gen. John Kelly for Secretary of the Homeland Security Department and though we recognized the man two rows back over Kelly's right shoulder.

We thought he looked awfully familiar. Could it be Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño? We called the county judge's office to make sure and Alice told us that it was. Apparently, Eddie was there to testify at the hearings at the invitation of Congress. The staff at the county judge's office was watching the confirmations on live stream and could not see Treviño because the camera was focused on Kelly. Well, Alice, there's the boss!)
