ADOBBATI SINGING A DIFFERENT TUNE; SON TESTS POSITIVE

"Americans who deliberately expose and infect others with coronavirus could face federal terrorism charges, according to a new memo sent out by the Justice Department.

The document, signed Wednesday by Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and sent out to US attorneys and law enforcement heads across the country, declares that: 'coronavirus appears to meet the statutory definition of 'biological agent' under 18 U.S.C., [which means that] such acts could implicate the Nation's terrorism-related statuses."

(After numerous posting where local  attorney Ricardo Adobbati derides local bloggers for posting out the irresponsibility of the Rancho Viejo (and mainly St. Joe alumni) group who traveled to Europe while the COVID-19 pandemic raged there and then returned without alerting health authorities, he admits his son is infected.

In fact, six of the 10 cases in Cameron County come from these "kids" who form a cluster of the outbreak in Rancho Viejo.

They came back from COVID-19 infested Barcelona, Spain after March 12 and had not been tested until 10 days later. Adobbati says his son and those on the trip gallantly had "self-quarantined" without alerting authorities of the potential for infection.

He chided bloggers for "spreading false rumors or criminalizing these kids for having the strength to do this."

Read through this self-serving post and decide for yourself if the bloggers were correct to be concerned for the members of the public who have come in contact all that time with these irresponsible individuals, or "kids". That said, hope no one dies or sickens as a result of coming into contact with this group.)

Update on Corona virus issues: (By Ricardo Adobbati, Democratic Party Primary nominee for 404th Judicial Court)

We were asked on March 22nd, 2020 to have the kids (his "kid" is 21)  from the trip take the test to confirm whether or not they had the virus regardless of whether they had symptoms or not.

Several others were asked to go as well. At all times prior my son remained in self quarantine by himself and with no symptoms.

Unfortunately, even though he had no symptoms the test came back positive today. As the medical staff indicated he is to continue with the same steps he was already taking. Namely, staying in the apartment, making no contact with anyone and to wash his hands regularly.

He is to maintain that routine for an additional 4 days so he can complete his 14 day quarantine as he has been in voluntary isolation since he returned. No medication was administered or prescribed. Apparently, the virus does not always show symptoms with younger adults as they have a much stronger immune system.

He has and will continue to respect all the recommendations of the physicians. Originally they wanted to limit the testing to those with symptoms due to the scarcity of the test kits...

Simply because someone is asymptomatic should not be enough to assume they have not been infected. It is my understanding the County and the CCPHD will be reaching out to anyone that was a part of any trip outside of the Valley.
