AT HANNA HIGH SCHOOL, A SQUADRON OF WHITE PELICANS

(A large number of American White Pelicans –  a "brief", "pod", "pouch", "scoop", andor "squadron"– feed on the resaca in front of Hanna High School. Brownsville is a bird-watcher's delight with numerous species found there that are not found anywhere else. Whether it's cormorants, pelicans such as those above, and even an occasional osprey during the winter, there are countless species to knock off your list, especially in winter.)
