(Ed.'s Note: Looks like these runoff elections are bringing out the worst in some people. These signs with the Dallas Cowboys logo put up on private property lasted only one night before someone removed the ones on the sides and tore the middle one in half. We received these photos from District 1 incumbent Ricardo Longoria supporters who say that the destruction of the signs (which they say cost more than $450 making the vandalism a felony) was caught by nearby surveillance cameras and that the tapes were handed to the Brownsville Police Dept. when they filed  complaint.

Managers of his opponent Nurith Galonsky in the runoff deny the candidate had anything to do with the vandalism. Galonsky herself previously filed a police report when her signs in front of the Central Public Library were defaced before the May 4 voting. In that case surveillance tapes were also available to investigators but were too distant to identify the perpetrators. We will keep you posted on the results of this police investigation.)
