LUCI LONGORIA WITHDRAWS FROM BISD TRUSTEE RACE

Then there were three.

With former Brownsville Independent School District trustee Luci Longoria withdrawing from Position 2, there are only three others, including incumbent Carlos Elizondo, in that race.

The others are Erasmo Castro and Herman Oris Powers, another former BISD member. But with Elizondo having an albatross of 1 felony charges of theft and breaching security of the city's emergency services computers, it may be a two-person race.

Many thought Longoria filed just to see who would switch positions when they fund out who else was running. 

Let's see who else gets cold feet before the eight-day period following the filing ends.
